Social Media 2022 Year End Breakdown: PoastThough my first taste of the fediverse was Gab went it switched over, I signed up for Poast just so I could follow a certain weatherman who happens to sell hats. From all the alt-tech social media sites I’ve signed up for, this instance is the closest I’ve come to actual free speech. And by free speech I mean almost anything. Gamer words, certain symbolism and racial commentary is all in the open. I’ve seen very little bannings going on and seeing people just speak their minds has been a breath of fresh air. Though I don’t partake in all social interactions there (I refuse to say the gamer word by other user’s prompting) it amazes me how open and vivid a community can get. If anything I just follow to keep tabs on certain community events covered by said weatherman
