Because they aren't practical. They use more energy than combustion, cost more, grid can't handle them and only good for driving around in town.

I will never own one of their ridiculous electric cars. Why? Cold and hot both affect the entire engine. To cold it goes 130 miles on an 8 hour charge. To hot 90 miles. I go between 2 states Montana & Florida. Can you imagine temperature not being an issue????

So they can turn it off from a computer.
