The civil war in Russia is closer than we think.
After the latest defeats on the battlefield in Russia, society became even more polarized. The marginal part of the population demands from the authorities more decisive actions and victories at the front, the liberal part says with scorn: "Well, that's what we needed to prove, we are not capable of defeating the West," and individual "players" continued to strengthen their positions to be ready to fight for "Putin's legacy."
The number of centers of influence and the speed with which they are growing is fascinating. Here you have Kadyrov with his army, loyal only to him. Here is Prigozhin with his "Wagner" recruiting legions of prisoners; here is the eternal conflict between the GRU and the FSB, confrontations within the generals, a bunch of other PMCs, Buryats who hate Caucasians, individual LPR, and DPR. The creation of regional voluntary formations, some of which are selected not only by territory but also by ethnicity, adds to the unnecessary atomization. And these formations will become the support of the local elites in the field when everything falls apart there.
And all this against the background of military failures of the Russian army, the decline of Putin's authority is gaining momentum.
The Russian mentality is different from ours. We naturally have thousands of centers of influence that unite to achieve a single goal in times of threat. In the Russian Federation, everything rests on monolithic power with suppression of any other opinion. And as soon as this government gives slack, a domino effect will occur. Those to whom Putin once gave shortcuts to management will be the first to drive a nail into the lid of his coffin. And then they will start fighting for the best place under the sun.
Everything will happen much faster than you can expect.
This process can be accelerated by several new defeats of the Russian army at the front or by an armistice that is not beneficial for Russia.
