Who is Moonshot and why did they block me?
Moonshot is a software developer and a "counter-violent extremist" researcher. This post would be too long if I focused on both topics: (i) the techniques that Moonshot develops to control information/people and (ii) the lies that Moonshot peddles in order to market that control.
So I am going to explain the former in this post.
The Redirect Method
1. tracks users online *
2. profiles them based on their input/data **
3. places left/state propaganda in the user's ad feeds / search results ***
4. diagnostics of how many clicks the method is achieving
This method is a software program that many other CVEs have worked on. The primary developers are Moonshot and Jigsaw. There is government intervention involved in this process, meaning that this high-tech propaganda campaign was not the result of free-market dynamics.
Moonshot targets people in the 2nd step of the process above by keeping a database of keywords. In other words, Moonshot has flagged certain terms, and if a user uses those terms, he will be flagged or profiled. Naturally, it would be of great interest to have access to this database so that we can confirm that Moonshot is indeed targeting extremists and not innocents - particularly since the propaganda that Moonshot redirects people to is far-left ideologies that attempts to convince audiences that they should not participate in debate, should trust institutional media and government, and should not question mainstream narratives. I have asked for access, and I have been ignored and blocked.
But if we can't access the specific database, we can ask another important question about it:
How big is it?
How many keywords does Moonshot use to classify "extreme"? How many terms would you need in order to do this? 200? 600? Anything more becomes quite arbitrary. Also, keep in mind that Moonshot justifies their existence based on how many "extremists" they target, so if their methodology is arbitrary or not clearly defined, then how many they target is not indicative of any real threats. Coincidentally, Moonshot has released the number of keywords they use.
40,000.
Moonshot uses a database of over 40,000 keywords.
Yes, the "extremist" problem is the new boogeyman that justifies more state powers.

if those users are using a platform that hosts the Redirect Method

During the 2020 election, Moonshot boasted that they were responding to "threats" real time to block user's access to certain information online
(see "Propaganda and the Nationwide Monitoring of Conservatives during the 2020 election" The ARKA Journal)
***
The propaganda that shows up is content from a 3rd party or an "NGO". For the content or groups involved in this process, see "The Agents in the False Ads" and "How Far-Leftism is Forced On Us" The ARKA Journal.
