This was taken through my bedroom window. Last year he was a fork horn, this year he's got a small 8-point rack. I've named him Blitzen, because last year he was trying out his new headgear by blitzing the older deer he hung around with, lowering his head and pressing antlers into the ribs or rump of the four-year-old. I see him all the time, and he's not afraid of me anymore. I talk to him, and I think he knows his name.I passed on putting him in the freezer last year, twice. He'll get the same treatment this year, because he's got attitude, and he needs to pass those genes on.
