Carrying automatic knives, or switchblades, became legal in my state a few years ago. The SOG Aegis assisted opening knife was my EDC for many years. I had a few interactions with law enforcement and they never had a problem with the knife in my pocket. The Gerber 06 Auto, on the bottom, is my current EDC. Law enforcement has notified me that carrying it concealed could potentially be considered carrying a concealed weapon, CCW.The legal definition of that charge boils down to criminal intent. I have been carrying a knife in my pocket since I was 10 years old. I have never carried a knife in my pocket with criminal intent. I find it interesting and disappointing that my legal rights are up to interpretation in the field.
