This post is for all the parents with teenagers that are going through their kids wanting to change their sex or to prove to those that this is indeed a mental illness. January of this year, our 17 year old daughter came to us and said she wanted to transition to a male. Now this is a girl who has never worn pants in her life and was still wearing nightgowns to bed! We told her that would never happen and we would never support such an insane idea! Well she thought she could manipulate us by saying she would kill herself. One day she had a mental breakdown at work (she worked at Hooters!) by locking herself in the bathroom and refusing to come out. Knowing we only had a short time to make decisions on her behalf since she would be turning 18 in March, my husband drove to her place of employment, picked her up and drove her directly to the ER and had her placed in a 72 hour hold for a mental evaluation. From there they transported her to Children’s Behavorial Hospital where she was stripped of all her personal electronic devices. She now had no means to communicate with those that were brainwashing her to think she was really a boy. We had the doctor restrict her phone calls to only me or my husband. She spent 10 days in therapy and was put on medication. When she returned home, she blocked everyone on social media that was trying to control her thoughts! She is now a totally different person. These pictures of her were taken shortly after her return from the hospital and on graduation day. ♥️
