NO, I haven't seen the new Top Gun. Matter of fact, might not watch the original for awhile, either. That bunch of hollyweird hypocrites had me wound up enough with the antics of alec, and now matthew. Y'all obviously don't know what's happening here and who/what you're supporting. "IT" was originally set for release 7/12/2019, but extended due to lockdowns and "scheduling conflicts". All of the streaming services then wanted to buy the rights, but Paramount refused, saying it was only meant for the big screen, and won't even stream on Paramount+ for at least 45 days after full opening. Due to the release almost three years later after all the trailer hype beforehand, they released it after their rights to the copyright on the original article had expired in Jan 2020. Now, there's a lawsuit over that. Doing research about this movie sickens the patriotic soul. Like the jacket patch fiasco that cost them the backing from China and Japan's company. Fascinating stuff. Disgusting. In our face.
At a time when our country SHOULD have worked together, SOME greedy hypocrites only cared about money. While we were all concerned and could've used the distraction, they withheld many films like this and Mulan, waiting for more money. Yes, at the time, I'd have paid more for a DVD understanding they had to offset losses from the bigscreen release failure. They couldn't/don't give a rat's behind about this country, only the money. A movie about our military. I'm a REAL vet, not a wannabe or an actor. I would've felt the need for a distraction in our suffering nation and released DVD and streaming. People like Keanu Reeves would, too. Picture what Audie Murphy would've done. Make no mistake about the dirty history behind this. Including the suicide by one of the original screenwriters they dedicate it to. Not our military. Not the ones who brought them to the dance. You can disagree with me, I fought for your right to do that, not just act it out for big bucks.
WHEN I find a copy of the DVD at a yard sale for $1.00, I might pick it up as long as not one penny goes to those worthless examples of our nation. They've ruined the original and this new one as well for me. On second thought, I'll just keep my dollar.
