I am going shopping today. Sounds exciting huh? Let's see, I will visit the local produce stand, I feel like "putting up" for winter. Then will stop at a local farm for eggs and sausage. I flashed back many years. My sister and I would go shopping EVERY weekend. New clothes, antiques, yarn, needlepoint canvases, magazines etc. You know, all the "important" stuff. We were working in our chosen professions, we were single, our expenses were low and our student loans were paid off! What we discovered after about 6 months is that it got boring. We just didn't care about the "stuff". Maybe, just maybe, someone may remember some of the same lessons I learned regarding money and the important things in life. I refuse to be manipulated by the current purveyors of propaganda. Make the changes in yourself and family, then move on to your neighborhood and community. Slowly but surely we will turn it around.
