Sitting here, contemplating future events. I know Joe's wanting either a war or another "insurrection" to distract from the known thrashing coming up in November. The first would allow the NDAA to be applied, the second would permit martial law to be declared. It isn't the Russians or the Chinese, it's US ! First off, just think how you could destroy a nation in under two years, then think about what HASN'T been done. Yeah. No, as long as this regime is in power, things WON'T get better. In their "impeccable, infinite" wisdom, they've forgotten what they DON'T know. The veracity and ferocity of true American Patriots, especially the rural ones. After Sherman's march to the sea, WE learned. THEY "game" for building to building combat. They're gaming for cities, and rural population centers. They're convinced we will just capitulate at the first hint of trouble. I'm ecstatic they believe in their video games. Unlike modern war scenarios, they can't game for the quintessential southerner. While they're looking for trip wires, they forget to look up. They can't run looking up and down at the same time, and discolored branches cover the DEEPEST of holes. They have no idea of how/what we game for, nor the preparations we take. There's also many of us who've moved around, and learned from everybody we've met. A LOT of us are Veterans, who've learned many things, including restraint and discipline. Our survival skills aren't "gamed", they're required to survive. Self sufficiency is the normal. Three weeks without power after a storm teaches many lessons. Predatory wolf/coyote packs require certain knowledge. Gunshot direction and distance are learned at a very early age. Trigger discipline, target verification, and determination to fire are, too. "Toys" have a totally different meaning down here. LOVE the old "You ain't gonna believe what I found". Stop wringing your hands. A demented old man screaming at people who don't like his politics don't rile us. We just live our lives, and hope they behave, for their own good. We don't wanna, but we will.
