Just gonna jump in with both feet. While the Senate is bandying about red flag laws as the latest encroachment on our Second Amendment rights, I've GOT to point out several things. Most states already HAVE red flag laws. MOST of the shooters recently were already on the three letter agencies' radar, and ignored. We've GOT enough laws on the books. Law enforcement makes the arrests, and things fall apart from there. Selective enforcement is employed, also. SOME have called for red flagging any veterans who've served. I believe they're trying to establish definitions for a Federal Red Flag law. Word manipulation is their specialty there, and the devil would be in the details. SCOTUS already stipulated the conditions in D.C. v. Heller, and Scalia wrote the majority opinion. That quashed the attempt to circumvent the Second Amendment by declaring militias as terrorist organizations. Alas, though, for they'll never quit. Start by enforcing the laws on the books, and hold the justice system responsible for doing so. Stop politicians from ginning up and sensationalizing events before elections to justify their agenda, like the disgusting interruption by "Beto" O'Rourke in Texas yesterday. Stop giving politicians money, and overhaul campaign finance laws. End PACS, and corporate financing. Enforce federal election laws in every way, shape, and form. Anyone proven guilty of federal or state election laws should be immediately removed from office and barred from holding any governmental office or position in perpetuity. Watching the "Great Uniter" spew his false anger intended to separate the people he's supposed to lead is sickening. Yeah, we all know what's going on. No, people won't talk about it. Ask Australia and Venezuela how it worked for THEM ! Do NOT allow them to divide us. Remain UNITED and INSIST they actually do the jobs we elected them to do. Make them FIX things, not reinvent the wheel. Round worked for over 240 years ! Oval won't ! I think we can at least agree on THAT !
