     I know many of you are concerned about the general elections come November.  However, don't forget about the primary election!     Each state has their own laws involving primary election voter eligibility.  In North Carolina, even if you are registered as unaffiliated you may "declare" which major party primary in which you wish to vote. Early voting has been going on for over a week with the "official" election day being next Tuesday.     Unfortunately, too many people can't be bothered to vote in primaries.  They view them as unimportant.  Nothing could be further from the truth!  This is your opportunity to voice your opposition to incumbents, to begin to actually apply term limits.  No, not every incumbent has a primary challenger but some do!       It is your job, as a citizen, to be an informed voter.  Set the example and vote in every election or continue to live with the way things are if that's what makes YOU happy!
