Maybe it is just me....I have noticed as I have gotten older I wish I had listened a little more closely to stories told by my parents and grandparents.  Let's face it, many times the children don't seem to find the desire or time to listen when they are under 40.
I started putting together my family history after everyone, with the exception of my Father, was gone.  Even now I still have questions such as my Grandmother's middle name or where in West Virginia the family first lived after emigrating from Switzerland.  Mom knew those answers but I never cared to listen.
I have figured out that in most families every generation or two someone is born who wants to figure this stuff out.  We all want to pass on our values, beliefs, stories to our kids and grandkids. How about rather than just talking about something we take the time to write it down (or type it out).  Leave a legacy of love!
