let’s get washing! today we finished fertilizing all of the fields that we farm. the fertilizer is used to replenish the ground since the crops took most of its nutrients out. essentially we’re feeding the ground!a huge component when it comes to farming is the EQUIPMENT! when handling fertilizer you have to remember that it is a corrosive mineral so when it sits on metal it will slowly eat at it. i’ve been taught that if you keep your things nice you’ll have them longer and get the most use out of them! also by making sure that the equipment is in pristine condition it allows the selling price to be higher when we want to trade it in for something new. that is why I am often power washing pieces of equipment on the farm! after we power wash we coat the equipment with a oil layer! the oil will preserve the metal and keep it from rotting/ rusting until next use!~ the farmers daughter 👩🏼‍🌾🛁
