The older we get, the more often we have "one of those nights".  Sometimes, it is remembering the past, riding your bike for the first time, your first kiss, the argument you had with your best friend when you were 12.  Other times I toss and turn trying to discern the why behind world events.  What is it with the Europeans?  So often they are held up as the epitome of civilized living, the beacons of enlightenment.  Yet every 20 years or so there is another dispute that turns into war.  What is the purpose?  Some military philosophers say it is to change the governance of the state, others claim it is about military might or religion or...... If I recall correctly, first the League of Nation's followed by the United Nations were formed in part to force dialogue over war.  Neither seems very successful!  Today I take a very cynical view of war, it's good for the economy stupid!  Things get broken, munitions get blown up etc and all need to be replaced....money again flows to the military-industrial complex.We cheer for the underdog, we cry for the lost, we pray for peace.  Just remember, many "peace agreements" led to a new conflict in 20 years.  Understand  I HATE war! You certainly don't need to agree with me!  Please continue to research, say what is on your mind, prepare!
