My husband and I were sharing our morning stupor slowly sipping the first magical cups of coffee.  We have seen the beauty of the dawn, the kiss of early morning dew, the first musical notes of the bird's song.  All wonderful experiences but we no longer partake.  Generally, we write our posts in the afternoon and save them to post the next morning.Today is a little different.  I wrote my post yesterday, all about school funding, but this morning we watched the news.  A question kept rolling around in my head, what would I do if I were Ukrainian.  My answer might not be your answer.  If I had a baby, a 5 year old, a 17 year old I would do whatever was necessary to get them out of the country.  However, if I did not have a child, I would stand and fight!  After all, how could I expect someone else to do what I am unwilling to do in order to keep my country free!We sit here smugly believing it could never happen here.  Are you sure you are safe?  Did you know 2 Chinese Nationals were arrested yesterday basically for election interference in the 2022 election?  They were trying to discredit a candidate who did not have pro Chinese rhetoric.  We are being subjected to daily assaults on our freedoms and our borders.  In some ways, we are not any safer than the Ukrainians.  Keep researching, stand up for what you believe in, speak up and prepare!
