Littera scripta manet - the written word endures.  Take a moment and re-read that phrase, the written word endures!The documents are there, the history is there, the written word endures!Unfortunately, we are becoming more and more dependant on ever-evolving technology.  An amazing number of historical manuscripts have been digitalized and are available on line.  However, as new systems are created we have failed to make sure that the "words" on the old systems are translatable on the new systems.  How many words have already been lost?  How much easier it would be push a button rather than "burn" millions of books!I am not one to buy into conspiracy theories.  However, if you fail to consider the possibility of all out censorship of human thought you are being stupid!  Read, study, speak out and prepare.  Make sure you have books!  The written word endures!
