Finally was able to pick a hand-forged Katana to start practicing Ken-jutsu and Iaido again. Took it into the shop today to polish up and set up as needed. 1095 carbon steel forged in the Maru-kitae method. Perhaps some day I'll be able to acquire one that was made from tamahagane steel. But this one is quite sufficient.
