I had posted an article about the first Rock & Roll record. It included a photo of "Rocket 88", recorded first by Jackie Brenston, then by Bill Haley. I knew I had a NM copy of Bill Haley's version, however, being unable to locate it, I'd used a VG copy instead. This afternoon, I'd found it. It was in a 10" box of some of my "most prized" 78s. Unfortunately, it was out in my storage, first on the top of the stack. Yep.. you've guest it.. a leak in the roof. The "A" side label is trashed. 🙁 Also in the box, undamaged, was this Bill Haley and the Saddlemen on the Holiday label. I'd wanted to use it in that post, but simply didn't know where it was. So, I'm posting it now.
