This Silas was a Jew of Jerusalem that was sent by the church in Jerusalem along with Judas after the council meeting held in Jerusalem in acts 15(Galatians 2). Silas is also named silvanus and which it was Paul & Silas who first went together into Europe and met Lydia the seller of purple & Paul cast out the evil spirit out of the woman fortune teller and also which that gentile jailer came to believing faith in the gospel of salvation by which he was called unto God in Christ Yeshua messiah our Lord. Silas was a minister in Thessalonica and was also Martyred for the faith. As you can see Silas (slivanus) was not only with apostle Paul but evidently was with apostle Peter and scribed for apostle Peter. Remember Peter & James being in Jerusalem wrote letters (epistles) that went out to al the Jews (Hellenists,Grecians:mixed Jews) scattered in the world living outside of Jerusalem in gentile nations. There was no schism between these believers both Jews & Gentiles , so why so much today amongst so called Christianity? Doctrine & many false doctrinal teachings taking Gods word out of context and most of all ignoring scriptures that speak of Israel the Jewish people & nation and teach those scriptures to gentiles making them think & believe those scriptures are personally & literally to them in error! Apostle Paul is the sent minister to all gentiles (non Jews) and Romans thru Philemon is to you (Your Name). ✝️🩸🙏
