For the last few days I've been seeing this story floating around here ad nauseum. Yes, technological advancement is wonderful, only if it serves a purpose, a need, to make lives better. And for the life of me I can't understand how a replay of your dreams, and thus nightmares, can enrich your life or make you a better person. Two things really bothers me here. The first is that this information is yours and yours alone. The other being that people often dream without even being aware of it. You are the only one who should know what random thoughts, and they are just random, float around in your head while you sleep. Just random bursts without cause or expectation. Dreams are yours, nightmares are yours. Not the property or business of some researcher. My fear is the government. If they want to track financial transactions of a measly $600 dollars or more you can rest assured they will find a way to see what it is you dream.
Bob Dylan said it best in his classic "It's Alright Ma" when he sang "And if my thought dreams could be seen, they'd probably put my head in a guillotine."
