What is it? We are to take it upon faith that God created the world, God sent His Son to redeem it by dying on the cross and it is by faith that we do believe Jesus conqured death and that He was raised back to everlasting life and that He is coming back again. What does it mean though? What is true faith? Hebrews 11:8-10,17-19 NKJVBy faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. [9] By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; [10] for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. [17] By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, [18] of whom it was said, "In Isaac your seed shall be called," [19] concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.Hebrews 11:1 NKJVNow faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.Lots of people say we have blind faith. I can state that there is some truth in that, to a point. Trust and hope, we align those with faith. It takes the completion of one's most inner being to believe in something they can't tangibly see. But don't we see God, daily? Romans 1:18-20 NKJVFor the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, [19] because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. [20] For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,You are a walking, talking, breathing living thing that God created. And He created all things. And how does faith make us know that? I go back to even the dictionary definition of faith:Faith (noun)-complete trust or confidence in someone or somethingComplete trust. Think about that. But why do we have complete trust that God is who He says He is? By complete evidence.:Ev·i·dence (noun)-the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.There is compounding evidence of God's existence. Jesus's existence. The Holy Spirit's existence. You only have to open your eyes and take a look around you. It is in the very deepest part of your own soul that you have innate knowledge of God, your true Father. Put aside the emotional aspect, there is complete physical evidence that the whole Bible is true. God speaks to us, not only through His word but to us, all around us. Everything points to a Creator. Faith testifies of that. Hope acknowledges it. Trust completes it. Find your faith in Jesus today. Know that He is always before you, He is always for you and that He loves you more than anyone on this earth can possible give you or show you. Trust Him. Have hope. An eternal life awaits you on the other side of that faith.
