Am proud That Nabirye precious is getting better , Nabirye Precious a 9 yaer old girl, I met her few months ago in one of the ghettos of Kampala city and she caught my attention as she was singing a song which praises God from one of our local artist. With scrap metals in her bag,I was forced to befriend her and she asked me if I could buy her food and cigarette, I did as she wished and after a very long conversation, Precious told me that she comes from a family where she lived with a step mother who never Liked her because she has eplipsey and because of this ,Precious was always denied her rights as a child ,she used to sleep from outside the house ,denied food and her step mother claimed that if Precious was given food, she would vomit and spread the disease to her young brother who is a biological son to the step mother. One day, Nabirye Precious was asked to accompany her mother to Kampala town ,about 90 kilometres from masaka district. After reaching Kampala, Precious was bought a bottles of soda and pancake and her step mother asked Precious to wait for her at the taxi park of Kampala and ever since then ,Precious has never seen her step mother. She further told me that she now know how to survive in the streets of Kampala because she's good at picking scrap metals which she sells to buy food and cigarette. I asked her why cigarette and she told me its the only way she could get rid of hard cold grounds can you imagine !! . Precious's story really touched me because she was raped by different men three different times on the street. Am so grateful that after sweet talking to precious, she decided to go with me at our orphanage home and I really can't stop to thank God for rescuing this young child. Even though am facing financial broblems but I believe God will make away because I want to take her to hospital for medication, buy her new clothes and take her to school because she told me her dream is to become a nurse when she grow up.
