Prickly Pear CactusThis useful plant can be very beneficial but special care and attention are necessary to prevent regret and pain. The pads are edible in survival situations and are regularly consumed in some regions as a staple (including use by indigenous people and tribes throughout the south, desert southwest and western and arid American regions, not excluding central and South America.)
