After celebrating Passover, Jesus took about a 2mile hike from Bethany to Gethsemane (to pray). That journey crosses through the Kildron Valley which has many tombs & battlegrounds and is known as the "Kings pathway", the Valley of Decision, and the place of final judgment. Thinking about Jesus' walk, I imagine the Words penned by King David were on His heart, "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear evil - Your rod & staff comfort me, You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." Jesus knew exactly what was coming His way - YET, He pressed forward with you & me in mind - what great and awesome love!
