As a society we have had much of our backbone removed. We are taught starting in kindergarten that fighting back is not acceptable behavior. YOU will be punished, NOT the bully who started it. So now, we are either afraid of the consequences of it, or just don't believe it's even possible to fight back. Now, because of it, we are losing our self respect. Without self respect, we loose our creativity, our drive, our ambition, our compassion, and our humanity. Most kids are taught instead of fighting back just tell an adult. Now that we ARE the adults, Who are we supposed to tell ? It's been said, A weak person is a very dangerous one, because they will stab you in the back if it suits their purpose. If you need proof, just ask Julius Caesar !Fear, laziness, greed, and gluttony led to the fall of the Roman empire. So far, history is repeating itself with OUR country. We need to grow up and regain our backbones, before it's too late !!!
