I am a Recovering Addict with 964 consecutive days clean and sober. I am a former needle user, i have shot both opiates and methamphetamines. Up until the moment i justified it was ok to experiment with needles, i had a very healthy fear of them. Now... They are becoming normalized on TV, on the news, even in commercials due to the vaccine. If i would have tried to get sober during this era, im not certain i would have been able to make it to day 964. I fear for the next generation who experiments with drugs and alcohol, with needles being so normalized in society, both the acceleration and the age of experimenting with needles could be drastically reduced. Just an opinion and concern of a Recovering Drug Addict.
