I am the heir to the great pirate Bartholomew Roberts. In July 1720, Roberts captured a French brigantine off the coast of Newfoundland. He outfitted the naval frigate with 26 cannons, renamed her the Good Fortune and headed south for the Caribbean, where the ship was repaired and renamed the Royal Fortune. Soon after, Roberts captured a French warship operated by the Governor of Martinique, renamed her the Royal Fortune and made the ship his new flagship. At which time he made me captain of his old ship which I renamed the Good Fortune and then Roberts set sail for West Africa, I sailed my ship for many years around the the Caribbean capturing a lot of good cargo building my stores of treasure and after a good many years I called an end to my active looting and sailed to the Port of FreeHavan a port located off the island of La Orchila and established my base in a town that is in part protected and funded by my spoils of various outings with my Good Fortune.
