A state in India with 241 million people is announcing itself free of covid. Utter Pradesh announced a total of 199 active cases in a state that has 2/3 the population of the US. Oddly enough, Utter Pradesh has a fully vaccinated rate of 5.8%, compared to almost 60% in the US.
So how can this be? What's not being reported is that the inexpensive drug ivermectin has been widely used in this state to treat covid. One of the few countries utilizing the drug for covid treatment.
According to Worldometer, covid cases in India peaked in June at over 400,000 and have steadily declined to under 30,000 as of today. This is happening in a largely unvaccinated population. Prior to our uptick in virus cases, when the virus was raging in India, the US media was covering the virus explosion in India. Now, not a peep.
