Firstly, I'm biased against SwissCows coz they abandoned their users by going to a pay for play model for their email.
That being said, I tested their search engine via the Android app. It returned practically the same results as did Qwant above (using same search parameters). Overwhelming left wing results with barely any independent outlet results.
Image search was surprisingly good if you have kids. Most adult searches were blocked.
This app is purty bare bones, no bells and whistles to speak of. I'd call it a 'safe-ish' search. I'd recommend it if you have kids.
